Roles and what each one sees

Each person in the portal has one role, set by your company's portal administrator (or by Drummond). The role decides which pages appear in the menu and what you can do on them.

Within a page

  • Only administrators and approvers can approve or ask for changes on a proof, and approve an estimate. Buyers can see and download proofs.
  • The report card and the spend chart on the home page are for administrators, approvers and accounts payable.
  • Only administrators add, change and turn off users, answer access requests and see account activity. Anyone can let Drummond support see their own account, if your portal has it.
  • Your company can also choose that each person sees only the support requests they sent; administrators still see them all.

Changing your role

Ask your company's portal administrator; they can change it on the Account page straight away. If you don't know who that is, ask us.

Access groups

Drummond can also give people access page by page with access groups. Everyone is in their role’s group, which opens the pages in the table above, and Drummond can add someone to more groups to open more pages, or take a page away from everyone with a role. When a page isn’t in your groups it leaves your menu, and opening it says so. The role still decides what you can do on a page, such as approving a proof. If you need a page you can’t open, ask your company’s portal administrator or ask us.
